Our involvement in Film & TV allows us to be able to offer you 'Movie' styles such as: Lord of the Rings, Gladiator, King Arthur, Robin Hood, Eagle of the 9th etc.

If you had lived 800 years ago there is a good chance you would have been a soldier, or that your husband was. This would have meant you’d spend a lot of time travelling on campaigns for your lord, living in tents and fighting battles. What was campaign life like in the middle ages? Where did you sleep at night? What was life like with no toilets, washing machine or bath-tub!!!
How about education? How did you learn new things, and what did you learn?
Dependant on your type of event we bring costumes and props for the visitors to try on and handle. All our weapons are blunted for safe handling by all. We have costume, chainmail and shields made especially for general public to handle and wear. Our weapons and costumes are of lighter weight and smaller sizes so children can pretend they are big and strong.
We also bring dad-sized equivalents…
- Mediaeval Hospital. Observe how wounds and ills were treated in medieval times by the practitioners of the day. Learn how they survived or why they sometimes easily lost a limb.
- Blacksmiths forge, Witness the Sword maker at the Anvil and see how everyday hardware items were made in the forge.
(Small forge all within safety limits)
- Kitchen with cooking and smells with hands on activities such as Bannock and bread making, Fireboxes and cauldrons, things on a spit.
- “Have a go” Archery taught to full safety standards.
This event is ideal to hold a competition on.
Points can be given with and a possible prize given.
- Kids Battle Training and Mock Battle:
Great fun for the kids and observing adults as the children are marched around in battle formation learning the skills of the day and schiltron formations, eventually squaring up to the combat team who sacrifice themselves to the onslaught of the young army. Soft batons doubling as swords are supplied and an age and height restriction is applied for the safety of the children and the volunteers.
- Horses in History:
Supply of 1 Large Clydesdale horse with Robert the Bruce to parade the event grounds at periods.
2 smaller horses accessible to children. These will be dressed the same as Bruce’s horse and smaller costumes will be provided for children to try.
Squires and horse handlers included.
- Combat International:
Full on combat and stunt action between opposing sides from the well known movie combat team Combat International who have 15 years of Movie-Making & TV experience in over 100 productions spanning through, Braveheart, Rob Roy, Gladiator, King Arthur, Valhalla Rising, Robin Hood, Eagle of the 9th. Shield walls and schiltrons with devastating impacts and clashes choreographed for full effect and never seen in the re-enactors world. Combat Stunts and swordplay with dynamic visual effect that the crowd will wince at but enjoy the reality of.
