The Clanranald Trust volunteers are renowned for their impressive professional public displays. This includes Medieval Encampments, Educational School Events, large and small scale Battle Re-enactments, Live Music, Plaid and Arisaid Demonstrations, etc for a range of public events across the UK and Europe.

The Plaid and or Arisaid Demonstration, as mentioned, is an interesting addition to public events. A volunteer "or chosen victim" from the assembled audience is brought forward and asked to take part in the demonstration. The Clan person will talk the audience through the process of pleating and folding the traditional Highland Plaid using the volunteer as a model. The demonstration is both educational and highly entertaining.

Previous events include:

  • San Marino International Medieval Festival, Italy
  • Quattro Castella Festival, Italy
  • Dollywood, U.S.A.
  • Tewkesbury Medieval Festival
