What's New?
The DunCarron crew have been working to the extreme, to climing logs, strafing pits and throwing rocks. They've done it. The first Gatehouse is becoming closer to completion by the day and the rest of the palisade is complete.
Over the past month, more and more has happened, the group are now filling gabions next to the two gatehouses and continuing to steady the massive logs surrounding them. Feel free to call the Office and/or the rest of the management team for any further information you require.
Duncarron will be holding an Open Weekend, Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th of July 2012. Opening times are 12 noon to 4pm both days for 4 hours on fun and games with the Clanranald Trust. It will give you a chance to see the project at it's latest stage, have an experience of 12th Century life with the Clan, and walk through and around the medieval Kitchens, Armoury, Blacksmith and Field Hospital. You will also be able to meet the Knights and have a go at our live children's and adult's archery range.
An entry Donation will be £2 per person, and all money raised will go towards the construction of the DunCarron Food and Drink stall! Toilets and Parking are on site. Bring appropriate clothing for the weather, it is prone to change in the hills of Carron Valley.
Please feel free to call the Management team at (01259) 731 010.
